The Faculty of Environment focuses on research and education in the broad field of ecology and the environment. Studies at the Faculty of Environment are in three-year Bachelor’s degree programmes, two-year follow-up Master’s degree programmes and a three-year doctoral degree programme.

The Faculty of Environment focuses on research and education in the broad field of ecology and the environment. Studies at the Faculty of Environment are in three-year Bachelor's degree programmes, two-year follow-up Master's degree programmes and a three-year doctoral degree programme.

The faculty focuses on research and education in the broad field of ecology and the environment. The Faculty offers students an education focused on environmental sciences with an emphasis on practical exercises. Here, students have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research projects that cover the topics of nature conservation, sustainable development, pollution monitoring and the development of sustainable technologies for environmental protection. The faculty emphasizes the connection of theoretical knowledge with practice, which is reflected in the number of field courses and excursions that allow students to apply the acquired knowledge in a real environment.
Thanks to its individual approach to students, the Faculty can be an attractive choice for all those who want to contribute to sustainability and nature conservation. The Faculty offers its students and staff professional backgrounds and shares with them years of academic and practical experience, not only in the field of environment protection.
The Faculty consists of three departments (Department of Environmental Chemistry and Technology, Department of Geoinformatics and Department of Environment) and Research and Technical Support Centres.

Getting Here and Around

You will find us in the CPTO building, the tallest building on the university campus, 15 Pasteurova Street - just a 15-minute walk from the main train station. The nearest public transport stops are Kampus, Klíšská or Solvayova.
